SOEP is a Utah state program that gives students access to online courses outside of their primary school, completely tuition-free. If your current school does not offer a course your student needs or wants, SOEP fills that gap. If your student wants to get ahead, recover a credit, or explore a subject that isn't available locally, SOEP makes it possible.
Utah Virtual Academy is one of Utah's most experienced and established SOEP providers. Students take UTVA courses taught by Utah certified teachers, aligned to Utah State Standards, and fully credited toward their graduation requirements. No transfer. No disruption. Just more options.
SOEP Enrollment Process
New Students
Follow these two simple steps to enroll at UTVA:

Complete the UTVA enrollment application in PowerSchool.

Request courses through SEATS.

Once both steps are finished, you're all set for the upcoming school year.
Returning Students (re-enrollment)
Complete these 2 steps to get ready for the upcoming school year:

Parent Portal and Agreements
After courses are requested, parents will receive instructions to create their PowerSchool Parent Portal account and complete all required forms.
Once both steps are finished, you're all set for the upcoming school year.
